WHY Donate?

Not only do we up-cycle some of the bikes donated, but also recycle all of the bikes that we are not able to refurbish.

Those that are not up-cycled  get stripped down as efficiently as possible. Usable parts are kept to help mend other bikes, the remaining parts are separated into Steel, Aluminum, Rubber, Hard Plastic to be properly recycled in the right way to ensure they do not end up in the landfill.

As of 2011, Canada’s municipal waste generation scored a D, ranking last place out of 17 countries on the municipal waste generation indicator.

Per capita, Canada produces 894kg of municipal waste each year. This means that if you weigh 74kg, you are roughly producing your body weight in waste every month.

Many of the bikes end up in the hands of those who need them most, such as those on a low budget that would otherwise not be able to afford a reliable bike.

Kids bikes are normally fixed up and given away as we believe on getting as many kids on bikes as possible.

Lastly many of the bikes end up going to good causes such as donations form us to local charities, local and international aid organisations.

With our FREE pick up service, we take out all the hassles involved with trying to recycle the bicycle properly yourself, knowing with peace of mind that the bike will be appropriately taken care of.
